Location
Hotel Il Parco degli Ulivi is located at Villafranca Tirrena, in an area surrounded by one of the most beautiful tourist spots of Sicily, rich with history and splendid architecture facing the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Villafranca Tirrena is a small town at the foot of the hills, immersed amongst vineyards and olive groves, facing the Aeolian Islands; the surrounding areas preserve the Calvaruso center where the shrine with the seventeenth century wooden statue of Gesù Ecce Homo (Jesus Ecce Homo) is located.
In Villafranca Tirrena's downtown area there are many interesting sights and places such as the Museo della Medicina (Medicine Museum), with almost 200 highly valuable scientific findings, the Castello del Conte - age old town fortress dating back to the XVI century - and the charming Church of San Nicola.
Aeolian Islands. Milazzo. Strolling towards the castle walls you can admire a charming view, comparable only with the one seen from the east towards the age old tunny fishing areas; going west you reach the striking Grotta di Polifemo.
Messina. In ancient times an important Greek port, today a developed and densely populated capital. Strolling along the historic center there are many interesting sights to see such as the Norman cathedral, the bell tower with the Astronomical Clock and the sixteenth century shapes of the Fontana di Orione. If you still have some time left don't forget to visit the Chiesa di San Giovanni di Malta, the Museo Regionale with works by Caravaggio and the splendid palace of Monte di Pietà. The gardens of Villa Mazzini will give you a bit of well-deserved relaxation, under the shade of blooming trees.
Taormina. The "Perla dello Ionio" (or Pearl of the Ionian Sea) is an unforgettable place, rich with culture, with landscapes that become one with the intense blue of the splendid sea. At Taormina you will be amazed at the spectacular view of the Teatro Greco, of the vivacious corso Umberto I and the gothic Church of Sant'Agostino; along the downtown streets there is an unusual and seductive atmosphere, pleasant like the pastries of its famous pastry shops. An amazing place that has conquered the hearts of many artists and intellectuals of every period, that loved to stay in the villas of this beautiful city.

If you are willing to travel for a few kilometers, head towards the spectacular Grotte dell’Alcantara and to Parco dell’Etna; it will take you only a little over an hour to reach the park and if you decide to go further you will get the chance of visiting the historic center of Catania. Heading back towards the Tyrrhenian coast, do not forget to stop at the Laghetti di Marinello at Tindari and try the excellent fishrestaurants of Cefalù, with its amazing picturesque little harbor.

By plane
The airport of "Fontanarossa" in Catania is 120 km away; rent a car and get on A18 Catania-Messina, then get onto A20 Messina-Palermo, exit at Villafranca Tirrena and get on SS113; after 1.5 km, to your right, Hotel Parco degli Ulivi is located on Contrada Romeo. Another way to get to the hotel is by coach. Take the one leaving the airport heading towards Messina; once in the city, reach Villafranca Tirrena with the buses of the Azienda Siciliana dei Trasporti and with a taxi arrive at Contrada Romeo where Hotel Parco degli Ulivi welcomes you.
The airport of "Falcone Borsellino" in Palermo is 200 km away; rent a car and get on A20 towards Messina, exit at Rometta and get on SS113; after 4.5 km, to your left, Hotel Parco degli Ulivi is located on Contrada Romeo.
By train
Once at the Messina train station take the regional train for Palermo or Sant'Agata di Militello, get off at Villafranca Tirrena-Saponara station and reach Hotel Parco degli Ulivi with a taxi.
By car
Once at the Municipio di Villafranca Tirrena follow the directions for Calvaruso and for Hotel Parco degli Ulivi, at Contrada Romeo.
